Other than a few cosmetic changes the only real difference is the Bullitt has the intake manifold of a 96-98 Cobra. It gives me about 10 extra HP and more torque than a GT. Due the intake manifold it also responds better to certain mods like a CAI. It makes a big differene if you decide to go FI. It also has improved suspention and better brakes than a GT.

the bullit intake is not the same intake off a 96-98 Cobra. All a bullit intake manifold is is a better flowing PI intake, just like the PI intake is a better flowing NPI intake. Its just designed better.

Ummm, yeah, I think I would know seeing as how I own one. It is the intake manifold off a 96-98 cobra. Those are also the UD pullies I have to buy, the TB I have to buy and the Bullitt JLT CAI and the 96-98 Cobra JLT CAI are the same thing. Don't talk if you don't know.

* The new cast aluminum intake manifold has an increased runner diameter to maintain low-end torque and provide a broader power curve for increased top-end performance.
* A twin 57mm-bore throttle body replaces the GT 65 mm throttle body, allowing for quicker throttle response and increased peak flow.
* To reduce parasitic losses, the alternator pulley was increased to 66 mm and the water pump pulley was increased to 140 mm.
* The exhaust system has been retuned to increase flow approximately 20% and give the Bullitt a new distinct sound.
* All Mustang Bullitts have the new TR3650 transmission and clutch assembly that provides improved shift quality. A new 11-inch flywheel and clutch assembly have been added to increase torque capacity and reduce clutch pedal efforts.

i've never heard anyone say it's the same intake as a cobra.

if it is was y don't people just go out and buy the cobra intake for there cars instead of trying to find the bullit intakes.

and isn't the cobra intake manifold on thew 99's an 01's the same as the 96-98?

OK, what other Mustangs have a intake manifold for a twin 57mm-bore throttle body?

Because the Cobra intake is made to bolt up to the 4V. Other than that they are the same.

thanku very much

that is all i wanted to hear

therefore im sticking to my guns and saying there diferent. When i saw u post that it was a cobra intake i though u meant it was literally the same part they used off the cobra.

and i was always told that a PI intake came from the cobra intake design, just modded to fit the 2v. Thats why i stated the the Bullit is just a better flowing PI.

sorry for the confusion, it pretty much looks to me we were trying to prove the same thing to eachother, just using the wrong words.

Even though I agree, I still say I was right and you were wrong.
