Is it worth it?

i went to a dealership last night to see an 03 all black mach1(57xxx miles)..he wanted $17033.xx out the door but when it came down to financing he said the total of the car would be 20 or $21000!! that felt like way too much. what do you guys think? i dont have money down and i was financed at 7.9%..i really want it but its just too damn pricey..help any suggestions? answers?

yah it sux but with all the intrest over the year its gunna jack up the out of pocket price...For the record 17 aint bad for a mach1 and at least you got a way better intrest that some ppl...my car was 13k all together...with the intrest financing its gunna be 19 so your gunna have to expect that unless you put a huge amount down... Btw how many years are you paying on it try to keep it at 5 at the most if you can handle the higher payments I would deffinatly suggest going fewer months.

oh yeah and thats on 72 mnths!!....6 frekkled years! the value of that car drops about 1200 a yr

The new Machs are supposed to be out in the next three years. If i hear it right it will be the Bullitt, the Boss and then the Mach 1 I think.

i like the car..no way let me rephrase that i loved the car i just dont see me paying for it 6yrs down the line. Maybe ill save up to get a new mach...hmmmm interesting. anyone know where i can find info on that?

well u will trade in your car right? that will help alot. plus a down payment. i wouldnt worry about the intrest just pay a little more each month. Im pretty sure u will be makein more money in a few years so u can pay it off early.

soon a my chicago winter is over im investing is something better. im thinking about skiping the 99-04 gt to a 99-01 cobra or mach 1 or bullitt or mave even a cheap 03 cobra. i hope to make a good investment into the future

yep im allready looking for somethin but cant get till dam snow is gone snow kills mustangs. i spun out on ice in my 6er and hit curb it not fun new bumper

You are a brave man to own a Mustang with Chicago winters anyway. LOL Yeah I wish I had never bought my original V6 Mustang. If I hadn't I could have bought a earlier model Cobra or a Mach I.

the sad part is i still had the old car and the storm hit when i was at work with mustang. Its not that bad they usally keep roads clean. it was the first bad storm and they and i was not prepaird.

Other than a few cosmetic changes the only real difference is the Bullitt has the intake manifold of a 96-98 Cobra. It gives me about 10 extra HP and more torque than a GT. Due the intake manifold it also responds better to certain mods like a CAI. It makes a big differene if you decide to go FI. It also has improved suspention and better brakes than a GT.
