The actual mach 1 block will take 600-700hp, i asked just the other day. It can only take 450rwhp with stock internals. The cobra's cast iron block can handle more however.

Its cuz the internals aren't forged huh. How expensive would it be to put forged internals into the mach engine?

About 600RwHP on stock internals. The extra money you spend on the car is the mone you will save ton mods. All you need is full exhaust and a pulley change and 500+ HP here you come.

Never understood guy like you that would buy a car to let it sit because it should be driven on special occasions. It's not a Ferrari, it's a Mustang. The every day man's sports car made to be driven not collected.

Ive seen bone stock 03/04 longblocks make over 1200HP, that statement in itself goes to show how much of a badass the cobra really is...

A stg IV eaton port, ported plenum, basic boltons (exhaust, headers, intake, and a 2.81" pulley with the right tune will yield about 515 RWHP) More then capable of breaking 11s.

Whipple / KB is definately the way to go!!! the IRS is def. a setback for dragracing, so anyone with a GT wanting to do the swap will automatically be one step ahead of actual 03/04 owners by having the solid axle.

IMO the terminator is an amazing car that responds INCREDIBLY to simple boltons. I'm at 496/484 at the wheels on the stock blower, i'm not going to waiste 600 for a port, i'm saving for a whipple and fuel system =)

Heres a link to forged internals from livernois. So that price plus the install cost, but im not really sure how much that would be.

The internals are not forged on the mach 1. Oh well. I think I'm just gonna buy a mach and put exhaust and gears on it and be happy. I'm not wanting to get a car that I have to put gas in it every 1/2 day.

Are you sayin mach 1's come stock with forged pistons? I might have misunderstood, but as far as i know the only forged piece in a mach is the crank and thats only in the 5-speeds.

good choice bro , those mods on a mach will make a nice, quick DD. Gas mileage will still be pretty bad...but totally worth it in my opinion.

I am thinking about getting the magnaflow magnapack, anyone here had experience with that setup?

ALSO, I am hearing that the mach's are famous for a 'tick' in the left cylinder head and bad shifting in 5speeds? Are these like recalls or what?

Ya on mustangforums.com, there are seveal ppl that are saying the mach's have a 'tick' on the left cylinder head and trouble shifting from 1-2 then 2-3 in a 5 speed....was wondering if anyone had heard of that here before I decide to buy one!

I don't have any of those problems bro, and I'm not trying to dog another forum but I've been hearing that information from mustangforums is dodgy at best...

Personally I've never talked to a disappointed mach owner.
