what makes the 03-04 cobra motor so much better?
I know its got forged internals and 4 valves, and im not saying its a bad motor but supercharge a regular gt 4.6 and you gettin very close to those numbers, with a few more mods passing it. I saw a 2v 4.6 at the ford show in jersey the other weekend runnin 9s. Im not tryin to offend anyone just curious to get some info, Im wonderin if its worth lookin for a cobra or saving money and puttin it into my Gt.

the stock blower in the Cobra sucks.
putting a blower on a GT will get you close to a bone stock Cobras HP range. true. but the block on a GT can't handle much more. Cobra blocks are good for at least double the HP of a GT block. the 4v motor also responds a hell of a lot better than the 2v motor. |

Price wise is worth spending then the money for the cobra though or getting a charger and internals for a GT. Also are the Cobra internals interchangeable with the GTs?

I would get the Cobra honestly.
not all the internals are interchangeable but it can be done with some work. |

the cobra has forged internals, the gt does not, they have the same block basically. the shortblock in the gt isnmt as strong. also the cobra has a lot more potential becasue of the 4v head. flows a shit ton better

im not sure, underpowered for what it could be maybe? ill tell you this, if i had a cobra i wouldnt be going supercharged, tt baby
