My Procharger Dyno

THis is my dyno for my procahrger, i gotta fix a kink in my boost line cuz its not reading any boost. it must have kinked up when i put on the pillar. Anyways they tuner said the timing is donw since we heard a slight ping noise during the run. THat is because i have shitty esso gas in it and he said to burn off that gas and he will bring it up to around 360-370 with a better tune. He recommended 94 octane from the husky or shell around my city. anyways how does this look? He guessed its making about 6 pounds of boost .

Why so low on the boost? Did you ask for that?

Did you put on headers with the Procharger? Headers increase horsepower but lower boost.

No im going to wait till next spring. i had my car sitting in the garage for about two weeks waiting for a tune. I love having it now so once winter hits ill work on that. I'll prop end up getting a shop to do it in early spring before i take it out of storage.I have bassani mid lengths and a catless x pipe in my garage right now just waiting. I satill cant figure out why my boost gauge wont read? it was in vacuum when i first set it up but ever since i put it in the pillar it doesnt read anything. I checked the hose for any kinks but nothing major and i took it out of my pillar to check but still nothing? IT was in 5 for vacuum and like 0-1 for boost?

haha it pulls amazing, on my way home a loud camaro pulled up beside me and i worked his ass. I fixed the boost gauges seems as though i had the by pass connected on the same hose as the boost. i switched that around and took it out, its only making 3 psi in second gear at 5000 rpm. Does boost increase throught the gears? but im going back like i said on either shell gas or husky 94 to do a better run. I asked the tuner to turn down the timing for reliability adn he was laughing aroudn with me saying he has never seen such a safe tune in his life. HE said come back and 360 - 370 rwhp should be no problem. ill let you know in a few days once this gas goes. but so far best thing i have ever put in my car hands down.

I did a lot of research before I ordered my Procharger. I was told that it makes no boost at idle, it starts kicking in at 2000 rpm and is pretty much at full boost at 4000 rpm. I'll have to wait until it is installed to verify this.

P.S. It is illogical to assume that 3 lbs. of boost makes 350 rwhp. It has to be a gage problem.

You can safely do 9psi with no worries. I would talk to your tuner if I were you. He'll tell you.

correct.

I make full boost in 4th & 5th gear at the top of the rpms.

The only reason I don't make it in 1-3rd is do to the 4:10's and the car just spins gears/tires and doesn't let it climb up.

At set of 3:73's should change that though.

But yea 400 rwhp should be EASY with your set up.

No I really really hate my 4:10's

I am pretty stuck on getting 3:73's. The car is horid on the highway and I row gears way way to fast.

Just think if you melt them that bad with 3:73's then how bad it is with 4:10's.

Also the worst is that when the car runs out of gear at the top of 5th, it is still pulling power and is not maxed out yet. However the gears run short and I am a dead fish.

Sucks.
