Quick Question

I was just wondering if anyone who owns a BBK intake for their 1999-2004 GT's knows what the plug is on the shaft of the intake pipe. Is it for dry nitrous, some type of breather, or just aesthetic???

^ +1 about a pic

sounds like your talking about the throttle positioning sensor plug on the shaft of the throttlebody maybe I have an accufab setup, but I'm sure someone will chime in that has a BBK

Here's the link to a pic.

http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-co...e-96-04gt.html

As you will see there is a small black rubber fitting just above the blue flange that connects the two pipes together.

When you say not to plug it, do you mean to leave it open. I have a metal plug that came with my kit that I assumed was to be put into the black rubber fitting???

plug it dude.

it's for a sensor that you already have in a different spot.

the sensor was integrated into your maf. so you don't need that hole.

What is this stuff I'm hearing about it bogging the car down if you plug it???

Is it possble that you could put some type of breather filter on it, or would that not even be worth trying???

any air entering the intake after the MAF is unmetered air and will make your car run lean. Pretty much what HMUSN was trying to tell you.
