yeah. but i think it was put in some gts also. kinda randomly. like they moved factories or something like that and used some of the romeo blocks for gts. they handle more hp and the windsor block

+1. the best way to tell is that the romeo heads have 11 bolts in the valve cover and the windsor have 13. That simple. To my knowledge there isn't a HP difference in the two. Also, windsor have a press on camgear and romeo has a bolt through it. And like Matt said, romeo was from 96-98 and mid 01-04. Windsor was 99-mid 01. Just count the bolts...

What???????????????

SOME of the Windsor blocks came with an 8 bolt CAST truck crank, because Windsor could not produce enough parts to keep up with demand and Romeo was not building anything during this time frame. If you believe the Windsor design to be superior to the Romeo, you have not been into these motors. There are only two major differences- 1. The main bearings have a different design and 2. the Romeo has cam girdles as opposed to the Windsors cam straps.
The amount of misinformation that gets spit out around here is retarded sometimes.

I was gunna say the same thing.

As for the best way to tell, romeo has 11 valve cover bolts, windsor has more. I beleive its 13 but I could be wrong. Its been a while since I ready it.

I also know that my GT had the romeo block and the vin had X in it.

X supposedly means Windsor while the W means Romeo- I always thought that was a little backwards.
