Right now im pretty sure a bone stock 05+ GT will walk me.

With pully change, gears and a SCT tuner, will I be able to take a stock 05+ GT?

You mean if he can drive right?
If you lose it shouldn't be by that much. The '05+ have 300 HP but thier weight negates some of that power.

I beat a stock (I assume)06 vert and all I have is BBK CIA, TB & Plenum, and a steeda tri-ax. The kid also didn't know how to drive. He started edging me by about 2 ft by the top of 1st gear and then came the shift into 2nd and he dropped to about 3/4 of a car length behind me. It was all over by then, he could regain what he'd lost.

I have seen dyno results on the internet of a supposedly stock '03 GT 5-speed at 245 rwph although I understand that 235 rwhp is more normal. I just saw an old article about a new 05 GT automatic dyno test (it had only a few hundred miles) that showed 250 rwhp. I realize that there are a lot of variables but, even though the published horsepower is 260 vs. 300, there doesn't seem to be much difference at the wheels.

verts are also about 100-150 lbs heavier then the hardtops......

That was also an automatic 06. U loose more power through the drive train with an auto then u do a five speed. If the 03 GT was auto it would most likely put numbers down around 220

Sweet ill try to pick on a convertable lol. my shifting is outstanding i just have to hook from the line, ill be fine. I asking because I have yet to race one and I think it will be purrrdy close.

Will I have not lost to a n/a 05+gt mustang yet. At the track or on the street. There is two I think foose mustang with S/C on them where I live raced them both but there bet me.
