jacking up points.


hey im gonna be doing my mid pipe and i need to know how to jack up the car and how high wouuld i need it would i need jack stands or ramps and how high woul;d the car have to be to be able to do it ty.

you car has jacking points for the stock jack, I usually use that then get a regular jack on the frame rail. At least put the jack stands under the frame.

do not jack under the diff housing,

but you can jack up the front from the k member

to add to this...

yes your going to want jack stands as well.

never trust your jack to hold the cars weight for an extended amount of time.

would i need ramps for a h pipe install or should i spend the 80 dollars and take it to a perfesional

you can do it on jack stands.

it's not that hard to do if you have basic mechanical skills.

but if you don't trust yourself take it and get it done.

Looks like you might need both of these. The plastic ramps at the autoparts store suck! I guess the worst thing tht could happen is a serious exhaust leak making your car act up badly or you could forget bolts and it could fall off while you are driving.

Unless you got some major extension and some swival head sockets i dont see how you can do it your self. Just jack your car up and look how high up your stock pipe goes to meet with the manifold. But im also a HORRIBLE machanic..took me 1hr to replace a damn fog lamp!

wat would look nice on a silver gt the flame horse for the grille delet or the plain one. and im thinking im gonna send to the shop to do it

Dont feel bad. It took me 3 hours to get my JLT in correctly.

hey


fuck it its not worth to fuck it up and kill my self its only 80 and its done by a perfessional mustang freak and all that shyt soo yea and damn that suxz it took me like 5 min to put a fog light in and 45 min to do my jlt cai cuz im good at mechanic in motor bay but not uder the car to hard to reach and un comfortyable fuck the undercarrage
