Saleen, Roush, Vortech supercharger comparison plz..!?

Greetings all,

First of all, I just joined MM and this is my first post on this wonderful forum. I hope I can add some value to it more than inherit one.

Second thing, I have a problem with choosing a supercharger for my 1999 S281 Mustang Saleen with 4.6L SOHC engine (5 spd). I know that this topic was discussed numerous times but I didn't get a satisfying answer yet. I am confused between buying a Saleen, Roush, or Vortech supercharger. Since I'm gonna be using this car on daily basis for the next couple of months, I need something reliable, with less side effects on the engine, and that can kick a$$ when needed.

Can anyone give me a full comparison between those 3 chargers (pros, cons, performance, price, PSI, installation, after installation requirements...etc). If you have another s/c in mind, by all means, please post your recommendations.

Thank you all,
Yazeed

the saleen blower is not the greatest. out of the ones you posted id ssay go with the vortech blower, but look at paxton and procharger before you decided. they all make a great product

A Saleen Series V would give you some serious power if you can find one. Don't bother with a series II which would have come on a 99 it's barely good for 300 to the wheels.
A series IV made 327hp, 341 torque to the wheels on my car and it's a decent enough unit.

I wouldn't bother with Roush since it's similar to a saleen series II.

Vortech can make very decent numbers and it may be cheaper than the other options anyway. MD has a strong running vortech setup.
