$60 bassani x-pipe

will a bassani x pipe off of a 02' gt fit on a 03 cobra?

It shouldn't. There is a different model for the Cobra. Something to do with clearance issues due the the IRS.

I think it will. I looked on Bassani's website and a 04 GT 's x pipe part number is that same as the crossover. IRS shouldn't really play a difference because thats not in the middle of the car :-|

I may be wrong, but I think it will fit. The midpipe doesn't reach the IRS. When I go onto websites to look for midpipes, the 99-04 GT & 99-04 Cobra are the same mid.

I'm not sure where you get that from because the part number for the 03-04 Cobra X pipe is 46033 and the 99-02 GT part number is 46993. You may be right about the IRS not being the reason though.

its a 2 1/2 in. dia. mid pipe with two high flow cats. how much hp and tq do ya'll think it might free up?

I personally wouldn't think it would fit either, but you never know until you try it for yourself I guess.

Interesting, I checked SLP's website and the part #'s are the same, Cobra or GT, but when I went to Bassani's website, they were two different part #'s. I would assume based on bassani's website it won't work. SLP must just make one that fits both. I would give them a call to find out for sure.

I know that anything over 2.5" on gts is bad but just assuming wouldnt you want to go with a 3" on a 03 cobra..sure enough that pushes out enough exhaust to benift..and be louder??

yeah i would like to have 3 in. but i cant pass up the deal on this mid pipe.

oh, and i called one of the local race shops earlier before i left work and one of the tech's there told me that the midpipe will bolt up fine to the cobra. he sounded pretty confident so i hope he's right.
