MGW Shifter ?uestion


Anyone know of any place that sells them, besides MGW on their own site???

Yeah, buying it from MGW direct will be cheaper. Plus they ship on time!

Is the inner dust boot needed??? Or the shifter gaskets???

not really but I would use them anyway to reduce any transmission noise

Where can I buy both of them at?? Cause i'll buy the shifter from MGW, but I just need to know if I can buy the Gaskets & inner boot anywhere together???

Does MGW accept Paypal?? Because I tried it the other day and they E-mail me and said it told them my card was denied, but it worked for AM.com.

I don't know if paypall goes there or not. You should call them and find out.

MGW will sell the kit as a whole including the dust boot. Be sure to adjust the shift stops correctly, or just go ahead and take them out. The trannies in our stangs have internal shift stops so the ones on the MGW aren't needed. I took mine out just to be as safe as possible.

Neither the dust boot or the gasket is needed. The dust boot doesn't effect noise and when you take the old shifter out you will use the one that was on the old one. If you really want one you can buy mine. I never usedi t. MGW doesn't even include it in thier instuctions. The gasket isn't needed because MGW sends a tube of sealant with works great. I used the whole little tube and there is extra transmission noise in my cabin.

That is supposed to say there isn't any extra noise in my cabin. That is how your stock shifter is put on and MGW sends you an article of thier sound testing and why the sealant works better than the gasket.
