help me guys

i just got back from the flightline a few minutes ago and i was told that the guy i sold my old 85 5.0 to has a real good solid rear end and he wants to trade rear ends with me straight up. he said it already has a good aftermarket gear, disc brakes, better control arms, and adjustable Tokico something(shocks i guess). im gonna go with what i think is right in the end of course but i just wanted to see what ya'll might do in my situation.

keep in mind that i do canyon runs almost regularly and some of the curves and shikanes are bumby which is where the irs comes in really handy

thanx in advance for any opinions

If I did a lot of that style driving and not much drag racing I'd stick with the IRS.

wouldn't a solid rear end not only improve traction but also reduce a lot of weight?

Depends on what type of driving you use it for. Driving in a straight line it improves traction, but doing Canyon runs like he does the IRS is the best for him. Beside if you had it built to a Viper spec rear you would have the best of both worlds.
