isn't that a waste? with today's oils you can safely go much longer than that, unless you beat the crap out of your car on a daily basis
start making some power and drive daily in Florida with the temp above 90 all the time, then spray some 125-150 shot and see how long will the oil last...

I'm just playing it safe. It's only $25 bucks, I do it myself. Nitrous will break down the oil much faster, same with the plugs. I can only get about 6-8k miles on the copper plugs thanks to the spray. Again, $1 a plug, who cares...

I read that the glue fram uses to mount their filter elements can fail allowing oil to pass around the filter. I also read that the best cleaning and least restrictive was pur-o-lator filters, which is all I use.

One thing I would like to see is a comparison of synthetic oils against eachother. They always claim to out preform conventional oil which everyone knows, but which is the best of the synthetics?

I think Royal Purple would win that race, but my mechanic Doug told me it'd be a waste to use it on my car for a daily driver. I use Mobil 1.

I was thinkin the same, but and hesitant to thr the mobile 15000 oil in and change it once a year but i wouldnt mind movin to 5000 miles between changes and be safe. Couldnt you check that oil and make sure its still in good shape in which case you could keep goin? Is there any way to gauge when your oil is goin bad?

MOTORCRAFT FTW!

That is all I use. And for oil, I use either motorcraft synthetic or castrol synthetic.

Wix has been around for years , look for yellow and white box with WIX in black text. IMO K&N oil filters , your just buying the name.
