Full exhaust set up...

I had asked everybody before on what they thought i should get and the definite answer was the slp. I wanted to get a full slp set up but i can not find them for my car...I dont know if i am just skipping right over it but i just cannot. So if i cant find them by credit card period I wanted to get Kooks long tubes with slp LM2 cat back but what kind of mid pipe should I get. Im pretty sure that I want an h-pipe...

With SLP LM 2s you'll want an SLP X pipe.

look around a little bit first...find a setup you like that you can hear in person instead of just basing your setup off peoples opinions on here...slp is alright but if i was you i would try to see for myself what setup you like best

I've heard an X sounds good with a straight through muffler, and an H sounds good with a chambered muffler, but what about a MAC prochamber. Will that sound good with either or only one of the two???

The prochamber will sound good with either. So will an H pipe really. The X pipe sounds best with straight through exhaust, but some people like it with chambered.

Ok so i am definetely going to get the SLP x pipe and then the cat back as well. Now i just need help on choosing what headers I want. I wanted kooks but I am not sure if they will fit up with the slp.. what are other good ones. And when I get them, should i get them ceramic coated and how much does that run usually???

SLP headers are great. They are high quality and have less clearance issues than some other LT headers. Ceramic coating is always a plus. You may find them cheaper elsewhere.

If you like it real raspy get the X, I have heard both in real life and the X is way to raspy for me, i would go with an O/R H if you get LM1's..Are you doing an O/R X or catted ?

Either you have no idea what you are talking about or you heard someone incredibly cheap exhaust.

Well, I wanted to get the SLP headers but they do not make them for my car. I couldnt find them and I ended up calling the factory and they confirmed that. So I need to find a different kind of header. And I dont think that the x pipe sounds raspy with the slp LM2s...

Wow, that kind of surprises me, I never noticed that before... I figured SLP would have headers for your car.

It doesn't. One person says it, then others repeat. Next thing you know people act like it's common knowledge. No the X pipe is not as deep as the H, but it is not 'raspy' unless you put on something like a chamber exhaust or something cheap. Then they can get raspy. I have a very short clip of a kid in a Mach 1 witth SLP LM 2 exhaust and an X pipe. In the beginning he is asking me if I have headers because my car is so much louder than his. LOL

That sucks they dont make a L/T's for Cobras....before you go with the SLP X you should make sure your L/T header that you will be buying mates up wtih the SLP X. I hear that the SLP X will only fit SLP L/T's. I have SLP LM2 with the Catted X set up on my car, but with JBA Silver C/C shorties and is a GT. Sounds pretty good to me but will be getting the long tubes next year.

They were on LM1's not 2's..

OK. Those things are raspy just by the nature of them. An X pipe doesn't help.

I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. I was saying a X pipe doesn't help it sound less raspy, but whatever.

+1

SLP are raspy enough. A catted H is about the only way to contain some of the rasp.

LM1's sound like a truck IMHO...

LM2's sound great...

An O/R X-Pipe is raspy as all get out...A catted X-Pipe not so much...

Alright, what do you think about this... BBK Long Tubes, with a BBK h-pipe, and slp LM2 catback. I tried to find a sound clip with this but I cant. And if i get the H-pipe, does the catted and o/r sound that much different???
