I would like to know if anyone can tell me what the rubber U shaped grommet is, because they forgot to sent it to me, and I got everything uninstalled, so anyone know where I can buy one from a local store???
Thanks! |

i think you're talking about the length of fuel line that comes with the intake. you're supposed to cut it lengthwise down the middle from end to end and install it on the plate that covers the hole in the fenderwell where the intake goes. it's so you don't scratch up the intake tube. you should be able to get some at any auto parts store.

that could be it too... I was thinking the 4 in rubber pipe.
this is why pics always help. if thats the case it's a 2 dollar fix on the fuel line. |

It's the rubber piece that is suppose to attatch to the plastic fiberglass like piece that goes against the fenderwall.

Ok cool. Thanks guys. They forgot to send it to me so I wanted to make sure it was something I could buy, and not have to wait for them to resend. So again thanks.

One more question, what size was that piece suppose to be, because I bought a piece, and it's not long enough to fill the whole circle, it's a 1 foot piece. Whats it's purpose??? And what part does it attach to?? Should it be super tight??? Because it's only semi tight. Thanks.

1 ft should be enough.. it just prevents the intake being scratched by the plate and it doesn't have to be a super tight fit.

Ok, so what holds the intake tight in place in the hole then??? Just curious because I don't want anything falling apart or loose. |

Ok cool. Just making sure, because one of my friends had a CAI on his car & it always bounced around under the hood when he hit small bumps in the road or whatever. And I wanted to make sure that I won't have that same problem. |
