There can also be some play in your driveshaft. Didn't we just cover this the other day. I could have sworn we did. My car does it some too.

sorry i didnt see it

yeah it goes away when the clutch is pressed.. how much does a throwout bearing cost? is it simply an inconvenience at this point or is it something that can cause issues with other things in the car?

It's like a 50 dollar part, but expensive to get somebody to do the fix and a pain in the ass to do it yourself. Mine rattles away I don't think it'll do any harm, I just rest my foot on the clutch while I'm stopped so people don't think my car is a pos lol...

I have qeustion... that same thing happened to my car. It was chirping, but when I pushed in the clutch even a 1/2 inch, the sound went away. I took it to Ford they replaced my clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and resurfaced my flywheel. The sound went away for a whopping 6 days and then came back. Any ideas of what could be wrong now???

Did they replace the pilot bearing too? That goes bad as well but it could be a possibility that your throw out bearing has went bad already too, it's a common problem with mustangs I researched for hours finding that out, I found out the centerforce throw out bearing is supposed to be the best throw out bearing to get if you ever get it replaced again I'd try it.

I think they replaced the pilote bearing as well, I don't remember, I'll have to look at the work order again. I was thinking it could be the throw out bearing gone bad again, I just didn't think it would go bad so fast. It lasted 34000 miles w/o problems, then it gets replaced and then lasts about 200 miles and goes bad again . I would replace it with something better, like centerforce, but my car is still under warrenty, so Ford is just going to replace it with an OEM bearing. Nice thing is though, even if it's still OEM, it's still free!! :award

lol, yeah my car doesn't fall under warranty because of the supercharger and all... so research the shit out of everything before I replace the parts myself so I get the best part, but yeah I'd just bring it back up to the dealership and have them deal with the hassle...

Yeah, I just got a new job that I start in 2 weeks, so once the cash starts flowing, and I start running some real power, I will def be upgrading to a TKO600.
