Cams and heads install

Just thought you guys would like to know that me and amphibrecon are almost done with his cam and head install. We put on the Patriot Stage 2 heads and the comp 270 cams. While we where in there we put on some bbk shorties.

Had a few snags in the install, one of the bolts that holds the cams down on the new heads stripped out the whole when we pulled it out. We just drilled out the hole and tapped it with bigger threads. The only other problem with the install was the retarded dip stick tube. We had to pull the header back off the motor to get it to go in then bolt the header back on.

Also, to further add to the never use RPM outlet trend. He bough some of his parts from them, half the stuff hasn't showed up yet and then sent the wrong intake manifold gaskets. Had it not been for the gaskets we would have had it running tonight.

On a different note, I finally got my KB pulled off my wrecked car. Everything looks good on it the only damaged piece was the intercooler and the mounting bracket for the intercooler reservoir, both are fixable!

AWWW man buddy i get caught up for a few months and your car gets smashed, what happened? Mine still isnt out to the island yet. It has probably been one of the bigest headaches i have had to deal with.
Amp got some new goodies huh? Damn... now i know he will be beating me. Gotta start maxing out that card.
Good to hear that everything is fixable though

We took alot of pictures throughout the install. The hardest parts where putting on the headers and the BBK valve covers.

I'm sure amp will post up soon with the pics and everything, its getting tuned on monday. You guys should hear it, sounds mean as hell when its sitting there idling.
