leaking...again

ok ive heard that an h-pipe leaking is a prob that happens alot, but im tired of crawling under my car to find a leak. this time its the freaking driver side where it bolts to the header (u know the side that satin designed to be impossiable to get to) i used baby powder and my wife giving it a little gas to find it. well one of the studs is jacked up. i know that a chiltons manual is ur friend in this situation but any advice, experiance in this matter. how hard is it to back the studs out. now im planning on getting shortys before to long but still saving my ends to get it. is there an easy fix until then, can it cause damage. its driving me crazy, when i down shift u can hear the gasket rattle and i can feel a little drop in power....

its not going to cause any damage , its going to just be annoying until you get it fixed and like you said , a loss of power. im not too sure on how to fix it but im sure somebody here does

You will need a stud extracter

Stock or Aftermarket H-pipe??? Because I never heard this about any mid-pipes, unless they were improperly installed, or not tightened enough.

Thats why then, you shoud always use a wrench, and tighten them as tight as you can.

I agree here, but sometimes that wont even work after they get rusty. Try to get a tap and die set and fix it and put new nuts on there. If you can get the stud out use a nut and bolt to fix it.
