solid swap

a friend of mine bought an 04 cobra not to long ago and is looking into a solid swap. he has a 96 mustang gt that was wrecked and he got it for parts. wanted to verify all the necessary parts for the swap. it is the shorter axle but others have used the shorter axle in their swaps without any problems. will be using the 96 gt axle, 31 spline diff, 31 spline axles, gears, control arms, and will use the cobra pinion flange for the driveshaft. the one thing i am not 100% about is the brakes, he wants to keep his brake set up off his cobra. will he need a bracket to mount the caliper? wich abs sensor will he need? the ones off the cobra or the gt? will he need the brake lines or parking brake cable for the gt or cobra?

I would think the abs sensors from the cobra since he's still using the cobra ecu. If he's using the brakes from the cobra, his factory lines should still work. As far as a bracket I'm not sure. If he's using the rotors from the Cobra it should bolt right up.

the senosrs work the same, it is the length of the wires that were the issue. i would have to use the right bracket to use the stock cobra brakes, i wanted to make sure the bracket off the cobra would work on the solid axle. i never paid any attention to the brake lines on the irs and dont know how they are formed.
