Plain and simple, the Kenne Bell kicks ass!!! If you have a GT go with Kenne Bell or Procharger, Paxton, etc....But if you got a Cobra, then I would go with Whipple. Thats just my opinion though, so get whatever you want.

Kenne Bell is a twin screw design, you'll see full boost quicker.
Procharger and Paxton are centrifugal have some lag but can usually make a lot more power.

Centrifugal's do not have lag, they just build linear boost and torque. What that means is, at 1000 RPM you have no boost and at 6000 you have 9psi or whatever your max is. So at your 4000 rpm your only doing 6 psi. Where the KB will build boost really quickly and shoves more air in due to its twin screw design rather than the whipple's 1 screw. The twin screw is thus more efficient and you lose less power from turning the super charger and gain more power at a lower rpm. However, I would advise looking up the Article from MM&FF on the Boost Bash, It compares all the types. The whipple is actually fairly close to the KB up to about 400-500 rwhp. Its when you start going over 9 or 10 pounds of boost that the KB really beats out the Whipple. But if you really want to go for the fences and spend the money on the new K member. A Turbo set up has no loss from turning the turbos and will make way more power than the super charger.

most would call that lag because you don't build boost immediately, there's a delay based on rpm. same as a turbo you have a LAG time where you are not making full boost.

Well when you are talking about 99-04 GT you dont have a option for the Whipple so it would have to be KB...

Me personally I love KB's...I think they are a better product then the whipple but that is just my opinion...

And it is true that turbo is king...

KB also has more variety in S/C sizes. You can go from the old 1.7L to a 2.8L or above. Talk about boost. Now the 2.1L is standard on all kits and it has a new inlet design that ressembles a professional port job done to the older units. Better breathing FTW!
