stock mass air


what size is the stock mass air on an 02 gt? how much larger should i got wit a 75 mm tb and plenum? I have heard that the stock maf on a lightning would work well... ????

85mm I believe. As for the lightning MAF, Idk if that would work without a tuner/chip.

stock 01-04 is 85mm, no need to upgrade to a 90 unless you hae a massive amount done or boosting. you will have to retune for it, if you want a different/upgraded maf i suggest the c&l. i run the c&l maf and inlet tube on my car and love it.

Theres no sense in wasting money on something that won't benefit you yet. If you have boost though, Nos, or heads & cams, then it wouldn't be a bad idea. Otherwise i'd wait.

you dont even need it for nitrous unless you are spraying over 200, even then it isnt a big deal. with nitrous you are adding after the maf, so the maf isnt playing that big of a role with the juice.

sct big air is the only way to go on bigboost applications, but like they said no reason to change unless you have a lot of mods or boosted
