Thought I'd share this with you Guys...

P.S. (pre script lol) Please dont move this, at least for a couple of days. I'd like all of the 99-04 Guys to see this 1st. Thanks

Heres 2 Pictures of my Best friends 97' GT
I was in the passenger seat... happened 4 days after i got my liscense when i just turned 16 haha. My friend was 18
It Happened on December 22, 2005.
We went around a curve too fast, hit salt and slid on it. We hit a tree on my side going 50mph+.
I smashed my head through the window, hitting the tree. My legs were crushed up in the dash and i was unconcious for over 45 min while they were cutting me out. They had to cut the top back and use the Jaws of Life to get my legs out from under the dashboard.
I woke up in the ambulance naked lol, With both femurs broken and both Tibulas, also my ankles were crushed. I had a critical concussion with tree bark and glass in my skull.
His mom is a lifeline nurse and i was taken to the head trauma center where she actually works. She stayed with me the whole time until my parents got there and she continued to stay with me... shes as much as a mother to me as my own mom is.
Pieces of the crash come back to me and i can remember a lot of it now. I remember the smell, the sound, and looking at the tree right as we hit it. I dont remember anything after that except the sound of the firefighters cutting me out... and the pressure on my legs, i dont remember the pain, but i remember the officials telling me as soon as the jaws get me out i'm going to feel a lot of pressure
They said I should've died and i was very lucky, and i really see that. I most def should have died that day. My head hitting a tree at 50+mph. I love my friend john more than anything. He had to hold and comfort me until the officials arrived. He said i was convulsing badly and he had to support my head for over 15 min until they arrived.
So what do I do now 2 yrs later?... Get a GT myself Ha.

you were lucky that time man, glad your ok, ive hit a tree myself with my stepdad straight on lots of snow. doing approx 70-90kmh airbags did not deploy, untill tow truck picked up the car.

it was a Citroen XM (Sport edition) V6 injected, when it comes to safety i trust this car totally. the cabin was intact doors could open, they did however hit stuff so you had to push em hard to open them.

scary shit man. i had a bruise of a seatbelt across my whole body! fucked up man, mustangs aren't very safe.

The Xm we had had the best of their engine other then it was an ugly car lol even with mods it had a top speed of almost 150mph and fully lowered suspension in sports mode there no more then a few inches to the ground so if you hit a pothole you might scrape. but in corners i tell you it was like a freaking formula one of its time.

when in cruise mode you could film a horse derby on the inner circle on dirt and keep a camera steady. good engineering just madly ugly

can wikipedia citroen xm if you want to see an ugly beast
