Stage 3 Clutch
My buddy's transmission screwed so he said he's putting in a TKO 500 or something with a stage 3 ford racing clutch. Is the tranny good? I told him a stage 3 might be a little much, but he said it was cheaper than stage 2. He's got a 02 gt with nothing but an x-pipe. O and it's a manual.... duh. Is this a good setup?

I went with a centerforce dual friction and i would recommend that! Its awesome holding power (im blown) and it feels better than stock.

he does not need a stage 3. stage 3 is for cars with more power than stock between 400 to 650hp i dont think your buddy has nearly 260hp. a regular clutch or even a stage 2 is good. stage 3 is over kill for his stock power.

+1 Unless he plans on putting alot of power in that car in the near future, then I would wait on a stage 3. |

The stage 3 has a Torque Rating of 680 ft./lbs. Way too much clutch for a near stock GT. I have most of the bolt ons and I just bought the stage 1 clutch.
