Mobil 1

I've been seeing a lot of threads about oil lately, and there's a lot of people recommending Mobil 1 because it's a full synthetic. Mobil 1 is no longer a full synthetic oil. It is made up mostly of Group III oil. They switched their formula earlier this year. Go buy a quart and have it tested if you don't believe me. I just want this information out there because people shouldn't be wasting their money thinking they are getting something they are not. Royal Purple and most Amsoil are still true full synthetic oils made from a PAO base.

well the change only happened this year, sometime around march or april i think. so they only raped you a little

Synthetic oil is over rated...

i agree with matt02gt, by the time your motor dies on conventional oil you will have saved enough for 2 rebuilds. that is if you follow the regular drain intervials(5000km).
