ok... i have heard a lot of people say that my 75 mm tb and plenum and intake is killing my power for what i have... so i need to know what i need next besides boost of course... right now... all of my mods are.... bbk cai, prof products 75mm tb and plenum, typhoon intake, bbk x pipe with magnaflow catbacks, 3.73 gears, upr blue thunder shifter. I want something that will get my air/fuel ratio up or something. atleast i think thats what i need. it just seems like its out of wack. but... you guys are the experts.... what mod would be most beneficial for what i have right now...

Get a TUNER! None of your stuff is dialed in. You need your exhaust to flow as well as your intake. Since your Intake is all done you need your exhuast equally done. You need either short tube or LT headers. ST are not nearly as hard to put in. As for the tune, its the only way to guarantee it will be running right.

Its not a myth, anything more than a 70mm TB with the plenum will actually flow less air due to the large area of the tube. Its so large the air actually stalls in it. If you have a large cam however, its not going to matter. The cam will pull in more air and actually utilize the extra volume. A stock long block will not. However, the idea that you are losing power is not true, it is still flowing well over 50% more air than the stock pieces. I can Find the link if you like where they tested the air flow and the RWHP from each TB/plenum if you like.

So, if he isn't losing power then how is this hurting him??? I said it's a myth so it won't hurt him (as in power loss), then you said not a myth... I will agree you won't get more power from 70 to 75 unless you have sufficient mods to need that extra air flow, but it certainly isn't going to hurt.

The 75 mm is fine bro. It won't perform at it's best until you get more power to back it up and get more air through there, but it won't hurt your power either.

+1 on the tuner

Your computer hasn't compensated for what you've done to your car yet.

Heads and Cams will kill your gas mileage. It'll run angrier, but it'll eat lots of gas.

If you decided to throw on some headers, go with LTs. There's only one brand out there (I believe it's JBA) of shorties that I've seen comparable dyno numbers to long tubes. Although it was fairly close the numbers were still lower.

If you do go that route, I'm fairly certain you'll have to drop the k-member to install 'em. Not a bad idea to get a tubular at that point. But dropping it and reinstalling it isn't as bad as it sounds. Just time consuming.
