underdrive pulleys

are all underdrive pulleys pretty much the same? i mean if they are all the same size they will all do the same thing right? i was just wondering cuz there were some off brands on ebay for like 50 bucks and i was just wondering if brand names like bbk or steeda or anything are any better than an off brand

Some are full replacement. Some are piggy back. If you are paying $50 for a $189 part what type of quality workmanship do you think you are getting? Do you think they are using high quality materials? Trust me you don't want a pulley to breal while you are doing 65 on the highway. You'll spend alot more than $50 fixing that mess. You get what you pay for.

Go with Steeda. Like NBK said, you get what you pay for. And go with replacements, not piggy back. I would just trust them more.

But I know they are well made and durable. Like I said before you do not want a broken or warped pulley at 65+ MPH.

I was reading somewhere that if you want to add a supercharger to your mustang that you should not buy the under drive pullies because they dont work is this true? and can you not use all three pullies?

Not only will they slow down the supercharger, they may interfer with the installation. The previous owner put on underdrive pulleys. They had to be taken off before the supercharger would fit.

If you are adding a SC down the road there is no need to invest in UDPs. If you get them anyway be sure to keep the originals.
