99 Cobra 4.6 Oil Cooler machined hole porting Oil?

My 1999 Cobra SVT 4.6, 32 Valve, has what appears to be a machined hole about three-fifths of the way from the oil filter to the engine block that is suddenly porting oil (lots of oil).

I talked to two dealer shops and they haven't a clue. They didn't even know there was a hole.

Have any of you heard or seen this condition. Is this a bypass or seal relief?

I could not find the hole in any diagrams. Is it a simple bolt-on replacement to change oil coolers?

so your saying that this hole is machined drilled into your block?

No...

The oil cooler.

About 3/5 of the way from the oil filter in toward the block side of the oil cooler.

Sorry, I wasn't clear about that in the initial post and couldn't edit when I got back.

You're not the only one! I just bought a 99 cobra and I have the same problem all of the sudden. Squirts oil directly down to the ground. Makes on helluva mess. I patched it with a fuel tank repair kit and that lasted about a minute! I bought JB weld, but I think I'm going to break down and take it off and drill/tap it and use a rubber washer to make sure it doesn't blow out again on me. All I can figure is it is a fluke casting issue with that part.
