a mustang is a sports car
![]() it isn't going to be a nice smooth ride. anything you buy after market leans towards performance which will only make the bumps hurt more.

lol, you think the stock suspension is bad in a mustang like ours, my 91 GT 5.0 struts were all seized up, running over a coke can felt like a speed bump at 50 mph... lol dashboard sounded like it was gonna explode from so much stress...

Re: Suspension question, smoother ride.
1. Set your tire pressure to what the door sticker says, NOT what the sidewall says. 2. I'm assuming the car is stock, so if you want a smoother ride get a set of Monroe Sensortrac shocks and struts. They will smooth out the ride without killing the handling TOO much. You DON'T want these if you are into performance and handling though but they are great for a good combination of smoothness and reasonable performance. They also don't cost too much. 3. Whatever you do, DON'T lower the car because it will ride even worse. It will however handle better, but everything comes at a price. If you're still running the stock Eagle Gatorbacks, switch to a different tire when they wear out. The Gatorbacks ride like rocks but they handle very good, except on wet roads. The problem with our cars is that the Europeans and the ricer cars have figured out how to get decent, superior in the case of the Euro cars, handling without killing the ride. You can't compare the two styles. I hate the Asian cars except for high end Lexus but I love German cars. That being said, my stock 2003 Vert rides great IMHO. If I want a smooth ride, I drive my Caprice which is a rolling living room sofa that you could raise an entire family in. |
