O/R Prochamber vs Catted Prochamber

I have an O/R Prochamber on my car right now and I love the sound. What I don't like is the smell!!! It's horrible! It's rattling a good bit so I guess I need to get under there and tighten it and maybe that would help. If not i'm gonna get rid of it and get one with the high-flow cats.

My question is this; What difference would there be, if any, in sound/volume and HP if I went with the Prochamber with the cats? I love the way my car sounds with the Mac and Flow 40s(although a bit louder would be nice) and I don't want to compromise that if possible. TIA

Wouldnt be any lose of horse power since it high flow cats not much if anyway. The sound should change much either. There really shouldnt be much of a difference at all.

You car will be noticeably quieter with the cats. The sound might seem a bit deeper in tone, but definitely quieter. You'll only lose like 1-2 HP at the most. Not a real big change in performance. You probably won't even feel it. I know they make catted legs for the prochamber, but good luck finding them.

O/R pipes are a little louder, but the performance won't really change at all.

I have a 2007 GT. I just bought a o/r bbk x pipe and have super 44 flows. It sounded terrilble! Very high pitch, raspy, tinny and rattely..if that is a word... I yanked it off and put the stock back on. i was thinking about a pro chamber o/r or catted What are you thoughts? I had a mac pro chamber on my 02 gt with 40 series flows and dumped exhaust. sounded great but now that my exhaust is at the back and i cant dump it...

Anyway..how will the pro chamber sound on my 07 will i get that low rumble or loud raspy garbage? If I go with the catted one will it take away all the low sounding goodness?

Please let me know asap.

What will be the sound diff I will get from the bbk o/r x vs. the pro chamber?

Sound goes way down. Less volume, the sound will be smoother and more muffled. Not very noticeable as far as performance goes though. AND I don't think MAC made a catted prochamber. So you'd have to make your own.

You could try posting in the right section... because this isn't the section for 05+. To answer your question, a prochamber will get rid of a lot of the rasp, but if its low tones you want, just go with an o/r h.

Thanks. Sorry about posting in the wrong spot- new here...
Going with the o/r h...I wont have the tinging tinny sound?
At the risk of sounding stupid...if the car isan h pipe to begin with, could I just cut out the cats and weld another piece to close it up?

Yeah, but it gets sloppy if you do it like that. Make sure you have a reputable welded that you trust fabbing up your exhaust. 3v's with an o/r h sound pretty good, although I'm not sure about super 44's on that combo. Never been a fan of flows on a 3v.
