10k!? Thats messed up man, that would mean 2k for the forged parts and 8k for the labor roughly, lol.

Yeah, it is. Ridiculous. I called DSS Racing and they could give me a completely done forged block for $5k-that's with the rods, pistons and crank (new block). OR the block already in the car shipped to them and done for $4k. Not too bad, but still a bit much for me.

you should be able to get it done cheaper than that. basically since you have the forged crank you need better rods and pistons. that should not cost 10K with install.

HOLY SHEEEIT!!!! thats outrageous man! that guys is rippin your bawlzzz off... i got quoted at around 6-7k for my 02 gt, and i know they're 2 differnt engines buy 3-4 more thousand seems crazy!

doing the internals arent that hard if you can get the engine out of the car and on a stand if you dont know what your doing it should be like a cupple hour job and its pretty much common sence all you kneed to know are the torque specs on your motor
