oil pressure guage


Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this, but on the initial start up on my 2000 gt the oil pressure guage doesnt move until the car warms for a couple mins then shoots up to normal. any opinions what it could be thanks. i also havent noticed the oil level being low at all.

Is it the stock guage? If so I'd look into the oil pressure sending unit. It might be going bad.

i would hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge temporarily to check the pressure accurately

it could be the sencsor inside the tank its self that could be bad
no???

hey thanks for the tips and the welcome to mm. I will look into the sending unit, maybe hook up a oil pressure test guage on a cold start and see whats up thanks again
