Your urgent help is needed!!!!!

I got my rims and tires today, and I was getting ready to change them, and I realized that when the idiots at the towing company put the Locking bolt on they stripped it, so now I can't get the lock bolts off. Any ideas or suggestions?????

cut the bolt off.

or pound on a slightly smaller socket onto the lug nut and use a breaker bar to get it off.

i had a simular problem, my car got broken into, and my lock key was stolen. snap on makes a special socket that beats on to the outside of the lock nut, then bites into the metal as it turns,..... worked great for me. hope that helps.

Craftsman 13 pc. Bolt Out™ Set
Part #9-52162 $96.60

Craftsman Bolt-Out™ Damaged Bolt/Nut Remover Set
Part #9-52160 $38.63

not sure what size you would need, but those are 2 kits that work... I had the same problem with mine and this is what worked... this is what the tool looks like if they sell them in singles.

Wal mart actually sells them too, I think Stanley or Kobalt makes them.

just goes to show, your lock lugs are worthless, with all these tools to get them off floating around, I remember 10 years ago when I started at my first shop these tools were top secret!

+1

My buddy got them out for me. And like he said, you might as well just get whatever bolts are easier for you to take off, because if someones gonna steal your rims, they are gonna have ways of getting them off no matter what lock you have on them. So the locks are pretty much pointless to worry about.

Yea but even then, if the guy wants your rims bad enough, he'll scope it out, and then come back with what he needs for removal.
