Hedman

I believe I've found a nice deal on some long tubes, but there's a catch. They are new (sold the stang they were to be installed on), gaskets are included, etc etc.. but.. The owner no longer has the original box and is unsure about how to determine product number or nething so he can give me some specs on them. They are made by Hedman. What do you guys suggest?

I would pass on them bro unless you are for sure they are for 99-04...

Ceramic coating is not cheap at all either...

How much is going to let you get them for?

what kind of stang were they going to be installed on before he sold it? may seem a little silly to ask, but if he bought them for a car different from yours, they probably won't fit your car.

I would try to find some coated ones if I were you, because like Chris said, coating isn't cheap at all.

It depends on where you go. You would have to call your local shops, and see what they charge. I know around here it was pretty expensive, because my boy got his headers coated for his 5.0, and it cost like $150.00 or so. And imo, I rather just find some that are pre-coated, with a warranty, because alot of times if you modify something like headers, they will void your warranty on you for doing that.

2 bolt is what most midpipes use...

You would have to use a hedman midpipe or have another midpipe modified to 3 bolt...

wait.. im confused.. i thought the collectors were the parts that went to the engine? and then all go into the one pipe that connects to your midpipe

That's right. See the things above the headers in the pic? They have three bolts and they go on where the headers connect to the mid pipe.
