I was driving my car yesterday, it's a 99 GT by the way, and it was driving fine all day. Then I started it and drove it after it was parked for about a half hour, and I backed out of my driveway and started driving down the road. The next time I pushed in the clutch pedal it made a loud kind of metal-on-metal bad brakes sound. The clutch still works, but it makes a pretty nasty noise when I use it. I was thinking it could be the pressure plate or the throwout bearing, does anyone else have any ideas? For a long time if I drove with the radio off, I could hear a quiet kind of sighing noise when I pushed in the clutch, but I didn't really think a lot of it.

Since youve got a '99 its probably time for you to swap out your factory clutch. Its hard to really tell what your describing but it could be any of the three things you described. Usually the throw out bearing gives a metal on metal feel on your clutch pedal.

Mine makes a similar signing noise when the is engaged and i just got a brand new clutch and flywheel like 3 weeks ago. I'm thinking it's the driveshaft, but haven't gotten under it to see if the driveshaft has some play.
