basically run them at different rpm levels.

don't just drive on the highway with them in fifth gear at 70.

you want to start a nice even wear pattern on them.

you get an uneven wear pattern.

could lead to premature death of your rear end.

just break in your gears man.

why would you want a shorter life out of them?

even if its like only a year?

gears aren't cheap to do.

i understand that........

i just wasn't under the impression u needed to break them in......

i babied the car the first week i had gears, but that was cause my intake was cracked and leaking....

since i did the swap......wellll........she's seen 6rpms a few times...

all in all i've only put a total of 500 miles on them.....the last 100 pretty friggin hard

babying means not launching them.

thats all

after the first 200 or so miles you should be fine to jump on it.

Youll be fine...

AS long as you dont do balls to the wall for the 500 miles...

Give the rear-end a break...

it takes me about a month to log 500 miles......but going back and forth to the shop to have them checked out.....then running the car for the PI intake....miles add up. Especially when u look for an excuse to drive it
