ive never seen a bad winter. what are winter rims for? cant i use my normal rims?

They are for people up north or on the eastcoast where snowstorms show-up. If you don't have snow, then you won't need them, but if you do, then they are better, because this way, you don't have to worry about ruining your aftermarket rims.

in snow, just like in water, a skinnier tire is better. The tires i have now are 265 in front and 295 in rear. with the stock rims, i'm just gonna probably put some 225's all round.

The salt they use on the roads will completely annhilate chrome!!! if you havent ever noticed, every like 10th car you see in the summer has rims, but in the winter all cars have stock rims.
