TPS sensor

The other day I dug into my car and the traction control activated, after I let off the pedal the car ran crappy. At idle it runs fine, in neutral I can rev it and it runs fine, however once I put in gear it runs like crap. If the car is running like junk from the get go will it matter if I disconnect the TPS sensor? Cause if I do (disconnect it) it runs just the same. Could the be a sign of a bad TPS?

I don't think it's got anything to do with the TPS. It sounds like a few possible problems. Coils (any code), plugs (could be going), injectors (clogged, how low did it go on fuel when you stepped on it?) Vacuum line that holds the traction control module?

and when you say "dug" into it does that mean heavy accel.? Cuz my car had the same problem which i just fixed yesterday,.. i was accelerating hard 1st to 2nd, and i heard/felt a jolt. I thought i busted a u joint or somethin to do wih drive line cuz the car shook and ran like kaka. Long story short it was a blown coil.
