What to do to make a termi run nines

Alright my 19 year old roomates think they know everything there is to know about drag racing and say it isnt possible to run 9's in a terminator without major and they mean major modifications not to mention they are chevy guys and think there is nothing better in this world than corvettes at the drag strip They say it isnt possible to make a termi run 9's with a little motor work uping the boost slicks suspension and proper weight transfer. So tell me what has to be done to the motor to make it do this.

Not the mention I am going to buy a termi in the next couple years so they have to talk there chevy is better than ford bullshit and the one thinks he's the greatest drag racer in the world and has an 86 camaro that is his drag car and says he can out run any one on here that one made me laugh

That motor is pretty stout stock. You would need to tune all of the above very tight. But it has been done.

a vette is not the best track car with the IRS it has, luckily for the termi you can do a solid axle swap, jsut spray the hell out of the car and hope for the best

UMm its going to take a hell of alot more than the just more boost slicks and tune haha....

your going to need a new method of FI, and probly nitrous, a solid rear swap, probly going to need to p&p the 4v heads, gonna need a new intercooler, a trick suspension... weight reduction ... and in this process youll probly pop the motor ... so there you go

its not that hard at all if you can drive, the easiest is to put a kenne bell 2.6 or higher, 100 shot of nitrous, full exhaust, straight axle, tubular k-member and adjustable control arms. take out some seats and put in some lightweight seats and there ya go. 9sec03cobra did it with a 2.4 kenne bell, 50 shot of nitrous, c-4 tranny, and suspension.

put it this way .. my buddies cobra with the 2.3 whipple on pump gas puts 649 to the wheels ... with a safe tune on 19lbs of boost .. he still has the bottle with race gas tune .. but its over a year old so he doesn't use it .. but he ran a 10.34 with IRS on his one time to the track over a year ago ... and he's a good driver .. his tuner says he can squeeze out a good amount more on the pump gas tune if he brings it back down now ... plus if he does a solid rear swap .. and another pulley swap ... he can be laying down well into the upper 7's making a projected 23lbs of boost and still be safe on the tune .. so I'd say he'd be well in the 9's at the point .. now all this comes at a price .. but its all done on the stock motor ... the thing is .. the car is babied and he's refuses to run it at the track .. he just wanted that one run to show ... its just with that kind of power on a stock cobra block .. one missed shift and you're toast ...
