mach 1's

i see a lot of mach 1's driving around and i was wondering what it would take for me to beat them. i have an 02 GT with o/r x pipe, cai, udp, hypertech programmer and short throw shifter. think i could take them with some gears?

Wouldnt count on it, I believe they have a higher gear than the GT's stock, 3:55's i think. With your mods you might have 250 to the wheels, there around 285, and if they have a mach 1 and are going to race you they probably have a little something done to it. im no expert tho, just my 2 cents.

Hey 02MiNeRaLgRaYGT, if you ever see this Mach 1 around (not that you will) I warn you to avoid trying to race it, unless you wanna be embarassed badly. Your best bet would be to wave, and admire it's beauty.

That won't be enough. I've raced a buddy with the same set up and it's not enough. 'Cept he still had his back seat. I would go with at least a 75 shot.

Get rid of the hypertech junk and get a DiabloSport or a Xcal tuner. Some LT headers and a cat back so your car can breath better. A JLT CAI if the one you have is cheap. A bigger TB and Plenum. All that and some 4.10s should do it, but it still might pull on you in third.

bad ass paint job on the mach1.

makes me a sad panda......that it has cobra bumpers

dont get me wrong i love cobras.

and yeah yeah i know as long as the driver loves it!~

That Mach and weems are two of the nicest I've ever seen. I never understood that whole these parts can only go on this car attitude. If it was ugly I would say something but those Machs look sick.

Thats what i'm saying bro. I love the look of it. The bumper matches the cars hood set-up perfectly, and looks very badass imo.
