Buy a Cobra or mod a GT???
Hi guys! I hear a lot of stuff here on this really nice forum about how buying a Terminator is the way to go if you want the best out of a Mustang and I was wondering if it`s pretty much the same(price) to buy a nice GT and modifiy it until it is as fast as a Cobra or if it`s cheaper to buy a Termi in the first place?? I`m asking because I see that there`s a pretty good difference on the price tag between a GT and a Cobra...I was planning to buy a GT thinking that I`ll be just fine with that but everyone here seem`s to say that you get use to it pretty quickly and that you`ll eventually want more and modifiy it anyways...

Go with the Cobra if you can afford it. The GT's have potential no doubt, just look at some of the numbers some guys on here are putting out. The GT will be cheaper on insurance and probably cheaper to mod.

) and a GT goes for about 15-19 so I`m wondering if it really worth it since I will use it as a daily driver and do not intend to race (street or track). Would you think I could be satisfied with a GT with a few bolt on or I`ll end up regreting anyway?? I`ve been waiting for so long, I don`t want to make a mistake.. :wink

buy the GT, take the money u save and do some slight mods to it.
4.10 gear swap JLT UDP 70mm T/B Accufab combo mid pipe and cat-back exhuast short throw shifter. u may not be as fast as a cobra, but u won't be a slouch either |

ADVICE: Don't buy a 96-98 GT like i did. Stick with the 99-04 for under $15,000.
A 03-04 Cobra is nice, but not a family car |

I still say mach haha
The termies are nice and all, but the machs are more rare and prettier imo. If I only had $30k in cash, I'd go right out and buy one, but I like the machs better. I've just fallen in love with the mach, and can't wait to get one.

Yes, his mach is awesome looking! I really like the white ones, but since blue is my fave color, azure blue is mine
![]() But yeah, the mach is a nice option for someone who doesn't want to pay high prices for a cobra
