What are you using to read codes?
The MIL eliminators effectively shut off the rear O2 sensors but the two codes you are getting refer to the front sensors. They are the ones that monitor your fuel trims. If those are off, these codes will the thrown. P1000 is just an OBD systems readiness code that will go away after driving the car more. It comes on any time you flash a processor or disconnect the battery. It does not set off the check engine light. There are P1Axx codes but most of them relate to hybrid vehicles. |

you are only supposed to put mils on the rear o2s. Did you put them on the fronts as well?

MIL eliminators do not effectively shut off the rear o2 sensors. They are a mere attempt to fool the pcm. BTW the rears are monitors not o2 sensors. p1000 is a code that means that the test was either interupted or not completed. I have no cats on my car and I do not run MIL eliminators and I dont get the lean/rich codes from this. MIL eliminators do not always work.

Re: P0171,P0174
if you don't want a mechanic to charge you $50, i highly suggest you purchase an oxygen sensor tool so you can remove it yourself. you'll need a 22mm or 7/8" oxygen sensor socket, and has a 3/8 drive. they run about $10 - $20 plus shipping. |
