Rotating Assembly

Well, the motor finaly gave out. Been looking around at different forged rotating assembly's and they all seem to be right around the same price range (1600-2000) so i was just wondering if there is one company better than others or more recomended. Maybe one not recomended ? Any help and suggestions are appretiated. Thanx A lot.

i went with a forged rotating assembly from VT.
here's the link http://www.vtengines.com/store/index...oducts_id=1333
that's what i went with. the pistons are 0.020" overbore and are dished 19cc's since i plan on throwing a centri blower on it. i also pais the $200.00 to have it balanced.
what happened to your old motor? i spun a rod bearing in my 2000

one of my cylinders has bad compression and one of my piston heads hit the bottom of my spark plug. I want to get this done anyway so i can run a little more boost but keep it "safe" I am getting a beefier clutch as well any suggestions ? how much HP should i be able to handle after this, im only going want say 460 RWHP cause this is my DD for now.

the best thing to do is probably to call Scott at VT and talk to him. tell him what your plans for the car are and he'll be able to steer you in the right direction. i talked to him about what size dish to go with for the pistons cause i wasn't sure. as for clutches, i hear a lot of good things about the Centerforce Dual Friction and Spec also. i'm running a King Cobra, but i'm also nowhere near your rwhp lol. and the FRA from VT will easily handle 460rwhp

the centerforce dual friction is a good product, and should handle your power

I have a DSS built long block, I'm very hapy with they way they treated me. VT is a wonderful vendor I have done som business with them and again very happy, ut the are way under staffed. Livernoise is running some very hot Stangs. But at the top of my list is MMR they onw the 8 sec five speed Stand and a 2k modular stang! I do business with them too. Very cool!
