with the way that high flow cats are engineered these days, there isn't really going to be a difference either way. i have cats due to my stay requiring them and i have a little bit of hippie in me

Simple decision. Cats are for emmisions. If you have annual emmisions check cats are your best friend.

youre driving a mustang, not a prius, might as well do some damage.

I installed a non-Cat X-pipe with my stock GT mufflers and the car is considerably louder. Almost too loud. The sound is completely different than previously. The change in sound is due to the X-pipe, but again quite loud. Hope this helps.

i have a catless h-pipe with magnapacks. it is a loud friggin exhaust. your car will be loud, and illegal if you do no cats, but it sounds so much better imo. if you want that bad ass deep fuckin roar, you will love a catless pipe.

o/r x-pipes are a little raspier than catted ones and they are louder!!
when i had my headers and o/r x-pipe installed at first i didnt have my flowmasters on yet so i had the stock ones. it was a little louder but mufflers/catback make THE biggest difference!! my faves are flowmaster and the borla stingers! gotta love the sound of a v8 stang!
