Header Install


So far we have the k member out and the midpipe, this is not a hard job just time consuming, we worked on it for about three hours last night, i'll try to get some pics of the progress today.

+1 is just very time consuming

are you putting the stock k-member back up or are you swapping that to while you have it down, definitely alot easier with that big chunk of metal outta the way i just took my long tubes off a few weekends ago and with my tubular k-member the only thing i had to take off to get them out was the starter i was pretty surprised plus that damn top bolt on the starter is no longer an issue gettin on n off lol...good luck with it man

MAC LT and a BBK o/r H pipe that i had ceramic coated inside and out. I wanted to do the tubular k member but money did not permit it, plus the wife demanded that i get the headers out of the chair.

dont you have to remove the motor mounts + lift the motor to remove the k-member? seems like too much work for 15 hp.

Ya lose 65 lbs by replacing the OEM K member Jegs has a good one for about 250.00

yea i bought the whole kit from upr for 700 i think n did the longtubes and that at the same time definitely was worth it i mean shaved 100lbs give or take and now changing the starter is no issue with that top bolt lol and pullin the headers back off u dont need to pull the motor or drop the k member i had plenty of room...glad u got it done tho got some band aids for the busted knuckles lol

27+ hp is a easy for the install, talk about waking up a monster. That Job Sucked!!! But it was well worth it!!!
