01' cobra traction control issue
my buddy just traded in his 02' GT two days ago and got a really good deal on an 01' cobra with only 37,000 miles on the tach. Anyways, last night we were riding around in it and it started pouring down rain. we both noticed the cobra was getting loose pretty easily when going uphill and around certain turns, atleast much more than his GT did. At first, we just figured that it was because the four-valve has a lot more tourque and also a different set of gears, but today we saw the light on the "TRAC OFF" button was on. when we pressed the button, the light stayed on. basically, im wondering these two things:
1: is it normal for cobras to be squirrelier in the rain than GTs from the increased tourque and different gears? 2: assuming the "TRAC-OFF" button being on and not being able to go offis more the problem, has anyone else had something like this happen or know how to fix it? |

Yes its going to be harder to have traction with power. And it was turned off with a tuner. That is a good thing! It bogs down the motor (leans out the motor i believe) dangerous for blower motors.

all it had was the cats taken out and a jlt cold air intake... if its been tuned to take the traction control off, will it need a tuner to be abe to turn it back on again? also, why would you need to tune it to turn the trac-control off completely if you could just turn it off by pressing the button?

Cause its annoying hitting the button every time when you get in your car. And yes it will be needed.
