Vortech S-trim

I can get a vortech S-trim supercharger for $1800, slightly used. But that's all it comes with. Is that a good price? how much power would I gain? I don't know much about vortech... Thanks in advance

the whole kit brand new from vortech only costs 2500, I'd just get that instead... and that's the polished version and all... just the plain jane is like 2300

just about anywhere, i like the novi 2000 though becasue it gives you tons of room to grow into, no reason to have to start with the s trim then decide later its not enough and have to go to a t-trim, with the 2000, it does well on a stock motor, but will support nearly 1000 hp, its an 8 second blower

whats wrong with the tuner kit? you shouldnt be using a pre programmed tuner to load a sc tune into your car. have soemone tune it on the dyno to be safe, and all you have to add is injectors(easy and cheap to find) a maf, and a fuel pump, all can be had for less than $500 plus youll get a much better tune that what they send you ina predator or a sct chip.

IT COMES WITH EVERYHTING EXCEPT MAF, INJECTORS, FUEL PUMP AND TUNE. OTHER THAN THAT, IT INCLUDES ALL CHARGE PIPES, COMPRESSOR AND INTERCOOLER IF ITS INTERCOOLED KIT. IF ITS NOT A TUNER KIT IT COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET RUNNING, BUT I ALWAYS TELL EPOPLE THAT THE TUNE THEY SEND IS JUST A CRUTCH TO GET YOU TO A DYNO TO GET A REAL TUNE. NOT EVERY CAR RUNS THE EXACT SAME WITH THE EXACT SAME MODS.

And all of this adds to the cost. I agree with getting a real tune.

so would this be a better option if moneys tight? since i already have a chip all i would need is the MAF, injectors and the fuel pump right? which would be a decent amount cheaper than buying the other kit that comes with everything? ive been thinking about buying an s-trim
