Are you talking about my statement or someone elses??? If you were talking about mine then how is wrong . Maybe I don't understand physics very well, but it's my understanding that a heavier car is going to take more power to get moving...

+1, you don't need as much power to be as fast as an SS becuase they weigh a lot more then us. They weigh almost as much as a termi...
i was talking about this post. they do have more power thay have around 270 rwhp and the 2v have around 220 rwhp. big difference in power. the mustang wieghs around 3280 lbs, trans am wieghs around 3500-3600, its also got a much more torquey motor. its simply faster.

also, if what your saying is true, why is it the holy grail for mustang gt and cobras to beat a lsx powered car? they simply put, are faster

I never said a stock GT is faster then a stock SS or WS6. But I think if an SS has 300 rwhp and I have 300 rwhp, assuming we are equal drivers, I'm pretty sure I can beat it...

They are faster because of weight to power ratio. GT's aren't too heavy, but they lack the power, 99 & 01 cobra's do well against camaros and firebirds, and Termi's beat camaros and firebirds, are even w/C5's, and fall pretty short of the C6 or and type of Z06 because of weight to power...

the cobras dont even get close enough and the termis barely out run them, and if a good driver in a termi is racing a good driver in a c6, its all over for the termi. wont come close

It's a fact, those GM have better design, better build, more cubic inches, better aerodynamics, I can keep going, but bottom line, they are faster apple to apple. Grab a GT and add 5 mods, then do the same exact to the GM and you are back to point A. More yet, the GT with it's 5 mods will still loose or maybe hang to a certain point with the GM based. For those who might ask "GM" General Motors, the makers of the Pontiac, Chevy ETC....

You know someone will ask that question...

i'm gonna have to agree with drgn.......LS1's just breath so much better then the 4.6.

BTW an 01 cobra runs best of what? 13.4?

he said it himself he raced a bone stock WS6 and it ran a 12.8

thats a half second diff.......and easily 5-6 car lengths.

If you read what I said... I sayed the termi will fall pretty short of a C5 Z06, C6, and even more so, the C6 Z06. Then I stated weight to power... each of those vettes have similar or sigificantly more power then the termi, but they all weigh about 500 lbs less. How can the 99/01 cobras fall way short of an SS... 325 HP & 3550 lbs VS 305 HP & 3450 lbs... I can see that the SS & WS6 would be faster, but I don't see them crushing the cobras.

I would never say that, I know that the Z06 is far superior... 500 HP & 3950 lbs VS 505 HP & 3150 lbs. Of course the Z06 is faster, I know I don't know everything, but I'm not an idiot...

If you read the begining of the post, it is not about putting 5 mods on a GT and then taking the same mods and putting them on an SS and then seeing which one is faster. Of course the SS is gonna be faster, it starts out faster and has a better engine. It was about the guy who started the post thinking he was at about 300 rwhp because his buddies 01 SS couldn't pull on him...
