On the first matter I'd go speak with an attorney as to whether you have a case. A girl I know got her 18" chrome wheels scratched up on the wheel track of a Hoffman's car wash and they told her the same thing. Her lawyer got her money for the wheels and extra for personal damages and her inconvenience.

On the second matter some hoods need to be sanded in the corners for proper fitment. I don't think it will make a difference inf you buy a hood pre-primed because a good shop will go over the hood for imperfections and do a little sanding and probably charge you anyway. If you bring it in and tell them it is ready for paint, they paint it and it doesn't come out right they are going to say they listened to you because you said all the prep work was done.

They should both fit fine. Some minor sanding at the corners at the most. I like both hoods too. I want a 2000 Cobra R hood in CF for mine.

yeah dude.. i'd take them to small claim court.. most likely as soon as you have joe blow attorney talk to them they'll pay cause they don't want the negative publicity out there cause most of those places run off word of mouth. tell them you'll pickett outside their business on a public street and take them to small claims court. they'll pay for it trust me.
