i posteed this in the drivetrain section, i need trans help
will the 03 cobra trans bolt up to my 01 gt, if so is it possible to just drop the trans, and use the bell housing i have now?

they do make a kit to swap to the t56. there are a few things different, bell housing, crossmember, shifter, driveshaft length, etc. this is a common swap, but you will need the parts to do it.

yes, the first time you take the trans out it will be a bitch. after the first time it will be a little easier. the top 2 bell housing bolts are a little tough, but its not to bad. before i went to long tubes, me and a friend could have the trans on the ground in 45 minutes. thats working on the floor, not on a lift.

yeah, just a little harder. i am about to have to take my trans back out, i just installed my long tubes not to long ago.

no problem. i have pulled my trans out 16 times and i am used to it. it is just another routine thing to me.
